i am wanting to create a logo for a future website but i have no knowledge of creating vector graphics and that sort. i know how i want the image to look but i wouldn't know where to begin in PS.

i want the letters DG to intertwine some how and placed in an oval or circle. i would even gladly offer to pay a small amount of money to whoever can present a good logo.

sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum.

Hello Tmac,

I can help you out of making the Logo. Plus, i dont need to be paid.
You tell me what kind of Design you would like, and what to write on.

ok, here is the effect i am looking for but if someone can create it in a sleek look, that would be awesome. would this be an Illustrator project? \:]

i want the curvy line to be more thin than the other 2 straight lines. thanks for any help!!

No need to use Illustrator, this can be done in Photoshop.

I would draw something on a piece of paper, scan it, magnify it in Photoshop and trace it with a vector. Of course, you shouldn't trace all the irregularities, the result has to be smooth.

I might give it a try later on ;)

if someone can spice this up or tell me how to improve upon it, i would really appreciate it.

I just gave a quick try, maybe you like it:
I know the Design looks very easy and not well done. For example my "Z" looks little Bumpy, because i forgot to remove the Bevel etc... i mean stuff like that.
*The Basic idea that you can take a "Z" and drop it in Photoshop. Than work with Motion Blurrs and stuff like that.

*More Advanced way to work with your "Z" is:
- Take a picture, Drop it in photoshop.
- In Adjustments, desaturate that picture, so when you`ll use Magic Wand tool with "32, you will able to capture more of the bluish light and less of the wight. But still you wont be able to cut it out perfectly by Wand tool.
Motion Blurring is very usefull sometimes in many ways, (here is my own tactic) i used Motion blur with 1 or 2 i dont remember, and than i worked on the Motion Bloor with Equilized settings. I mean i have a an entire Equilized lab in my Plug-ins. So i used some Contrast + Contrasted Equilizer in my KPT plug-in. And basicly here is what i came up with. And i`m sure you can do that with built in Equilizer, but i dont realy have that one.

Good Luck :)

"trace it with a vector."

Could you be specific? not sure how to do that.
I could explain how to trace it, but since you wrote that you have no knowledge of creating vector graphics it would take me a while.
But don't you worry, I traced your latest example by hand in Illustrator and converted it to PSD.
