Any suggestions on how I could touch up this monkey I did?

I know there is a lot of experienced vets on these forums, so I figured I'd ask if there was any suggestions for touch ups. Also is there a way to save psd as a jpeg while keeping the background transparent?

Your image looks good. The only thing I might reconsider is the drip from the headphones and the PB&J on his hand.

Save the file a PNG in order to preserve the transparency.

I don't think it's that bad, it's just something I would consider removing and not improving. I don't think it adds much to the image. As it is, it's consistent with the liquid state of the peanut butter and jam in the lettering so if you need for it to stay, then it's fine the way it is.

While not an expert in animal anatomy or photoshop for that matter it is my unlearned opinion that the monkey's hand is too big for that monkey. However, say if that was a gorilla's hand and not the monkey's hand then I would believe that the hand is in the correct proportion. Of course the monkey could have abnormally large hands or had suffered an injury like a bee sting which may of made his hand bigger than normal. I just realized the monkey may have an underdeveloped head which in turn would obviously make his hands look big. So I think the pic is ok, mostly.

besmirched,

I can see where it is a little confusing.

The monkey image is a popular poster taken from an urban art company called Steez. I'm also not a Primate expert (and definitely not Photoshop) but I believe that the original Chimp image is anatomically correct.

Yinnyboyy has, with permission I assume, just added text and the drippy PB&J to it.

It's always hard with images like this, to find the balance of vibrant colours with black and white pictures, which make the end result pleasing to the eye. It's all very much subjective, and obviously boils down to whether you are happy with it, but I personally think the colour over the monkey's arm is very 'distracting', for want of a better word.

Following on from what dv8_fx has said, I have done work for Philip Defranco and the SourceFed team, who have actually paid for the right to use this image in their posters, and know they don't condone copyright theft.
