ANy idea how to do this, or what software to try it with?

Came accross this cool tiling effect, perhaps its illustrator, but wondered if anyone had an idea on how to accomplish something like it.
Thanks for any help

I know how to do it, But describing all the methods to do it properly would take longer than an age. I will try to briefly.


  1. Import the image that you want to turn into that style.
  2. Make the geometric design to go over it.
  3. For each segment, use the pipette to choose the main colour of the segment and then fill the segment with that colour.
  4. Repeat step 3 until finished.
If you do not know how to make geometric shapes with Illustrator, watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1234567, and if the other stuff didn't make sense, this effect is too advanced for your skill level.
