Any filters to turn a photo into a line drawing?

I don't have photoshop yet. Is there any plugin filters to turn a photo into a line drawing? I found this edgeline filter which looks ok. Are there any other plugins that are better for this job?

Find edges, Treshold adjustment layer, maybe on top of a low pass filter...

Lots of different techniques exist, while you wait for somebody else to chime in, search in Google with some relevant? keywords, like "comic, drawing, edges +tutorial Photoshop"...
