It's been fun to have the time this weekend to play around in Photoshop. This time I can credit the photographer, not a website, but an email anyway: taffspoon@hotmail.co.uk. It's a lovely photograph, so thanks for putting it out there taffspoon. In fact, I don't think my version is anywhere near as nice, but it was fun to do.

A little editing for a 2nd entry today.

Yeah i have seen his work on Deviant art, hes doing some nice work.
Nice editing clare.

Really coooool! Fisrt I didn´t understand why you had posted it twice, but then I saw that you asked. The second one is a bit sharper and brighter, but I actually like the feeling of the first one better, There is something mysterious about it. Unless of course my eyes are playing tricks on me. Sometimes I don´t see things right, not just because of my eyes, but because of the way I sit at the computer, I can´t really see the top of the screen right without having to stand up. :)

I sympathize. My eyes are giving me problems and it's about the last thing a visual artist wants to deal with . . . so I get it, the tricks, lol. And ty for the appreciation.

Second version is great. Early start for Christmas cards?

Thanks V. I think that's a good idea, Christmas cards!

Hello Clare,

Yes, the second image is certainly more colorful and vibrant, but both look great! Very cool effect, I have no idea how you do this!

Cheers!

You have no idea how I do this? You should see drejs' work if you want to be wow'd. Anyway, if you like, I could try to explain it. But I couldn't have done it without learning a lot about using Photoshop. My skills have been improved a lot in the five or six months I've been here. Whenever there's a challenge, I do it. Always new skills to learn.
And thank you for taking a look at my work.

ps I see you did look at one of drejs' pieces, A Moment inTime

Why thank you Sunrise. That's really nice of you to say. I appreciate it. Have you posted any of your own work yet? I don't think I had a chance to say hi to you yet, so welcome to PSG.

Clare, I would change the look of the building on the right in the foreground. I was thinking a layer mask and then have the building get gradually darker as it gets further away from the street lamp. Then add some glow around and below the window with the light in it.

What do you think?
