From this tutorial, Add Dynamic Lighting to a Flat Photograph - Psdtuts+. I use CS4

I downloaded the castle pic and open it on my photoshop cs4 portable, and what came out is this..

try opening it up with something else, is it still there?

Photoshop don't do a portable version, so I'm guessing the one you have is crap, and you'll have to look for a new crack version.
