I'm trying to wear this horse out! Thought I would try my hand at a sunset background.

Nice! As usual. You do really good work with the mixer brush and other fx and filters that you use. So when you gonna make me that tutorial? :mrgreen:

My only critique is that the horse seems crowded and I'd like to see more space all around.
 
Thank you. There are no filters used on this one. A few brushes and the photo. That is the same ole hoss I did the other day but I did a close up of him. I actually added some space in front, and your right I think it could use a bit on the sides.
Clare, I would have a tough time making a tutorial for this. I don't have any set methodology that can be explained in brief. I guess I'm kind of like a writer, no plan, just let it flow. I suggested that you take one of your composites and turn it into a painting. I posted an experiment with the Fine Touch filter, it in that thread I think you called it Recent Work. Don't know if you saw it or not. But you could really make some nice ones !
