On this one, the leaves shadows was the hardest.

This is a good observation. It looks a bit flat indeed.
Let me work on it and get back with a corrected image.
I am glad to have found people with an artistic opinion.

It is a very nice job Eggy. The shadow looks excellent.
This is my attempt to fix the stem to look more natural. Just an idea of mine to help you correct your image.

Yes, this way it looks more natural.
I was so busy with the technical side that I didn't see that the 'natural' shape of the stem started just at the inner edge of the frame, making it unnatural.
Like I said, I'm new and maybe too much focusted on the technical part.

I can not bring the outbond leaves more to the front because what we see is the back of those leaves. I tried to correct the rest with a little twist.

Looks better...

But there seems to be a bit of discoloration and unevenness of the hilight along the area where you joined the twigs and what seems to be a small nick on the underside. Thus the bend isn't true. Looks unnatural when viewed from afar. maybe a sliiiiiiight rotation (5degrees clockwise) of twig and leaves might help. And the twig shadow seems to fade on the right.

Maybe its my eyes or monitor.... but overall a great improvement from the original.

I'm no slave driver ... lol ... just finding ways (in my eyes) that may help you improve it.

Make the outbound leaves a darker shade of green, that'll help to bring them closer to the viewer.

Got rid of the bend and made adjustments. Staring at my screen made my eyes bleed.

What would really bring out the image is if you can find the same type of leaves face forward to replace the ones overshadowing the frame. Having the leaves face the viewer gives the image a personable appeal. The leaves facing away, as they currently are doing, means they wish to be left alone in the eyes of the viewer.

The other modification I would make is the diminish the size of the frame and accompanying leaves just a bit. This will pull the focus away from the far side of the image.
