Animated ring of fire

Hey everyone!

Glad I've found such a forum, it seems to be really useful!

I need to animate the fire on the image below (I've attached it, so hopefully you can see the full size instead of a tiny version). It doesn't necessarily have to move in a circle, but any effect which makes the fire move/glow should be enough. (I don't need the entire image to have a fire effect on it).

Is this anything you guys can help with?

Thanks in advance!

This can be done easily................however, it's rather hard to explain.

I'm not sure how you made your ring of fire, it looks like you used polar coordinates.
I would use real fire brushes. You will have to duplicate the ring many times, each time adding a different application of a fire brush. The idea being that the fire ring layers if shown in succession, would appear as though it were fire dancing on the ring. To do this you will need to use Photoshops frame animation feature.

Here is a TUTORIAL that offers some idea of what I'm referring to, except I would use a real fire bush (which you can download) instead of creating the fire as the tutorial suggests.
