All I wanted to do was design an invitation now I'm hooked!

Hello everyone. I'm new to photoshop and it looks like this is a good place to gather knowledge and get help. I wanted to design an invitation to my 40th birthday party and I had previously purchased photoshop for my husband (which he never used) so I figured I'd give it a try. Now I can't get enough how to videos. "Oh wow cool!" keep coming out of my mouth I'm so impressed with this program and what people are able to do with it. If there is any advice or something you would suggest for a total newbie to read or watch to get a good grasp of the basics please let me know. I look forward to learning a lot here.
