Align my selection

Hey guys, I need to know if there a way to aline an eliptical selection I've made with marquee tool to the artboard using the top buttons ?

I'm not sure if I understand your question but if you do a right-click >transform selection, is that what you're looking for

I thought the same thing but either way he'll need move or transform tools

There has to be something on the layer to align. You can make a selection on a new layer then fill it and align it. Then ctrl+click the layer to select, turn off the layer and use the selection wherever you want.

I created a new transparent layer, made selection, filled it with black and tried to align it but I fail every time!

You can't align just a single layer. Select the background layer plus the layer you created, then align.
