Alien Skin Style Tutorial

After posting a style here, it was suggested that I do a tutorial on how they are created. So, I took one of my styles & made a basic tutorial. It's aimed at beginners, to get them to experiment with the layer fx. (Please go to full zoom on the image for the full effect of the style.)

I haven't done a tutorial on PS before, so I hope it's not too basic or not enough info.

The zip contains the Tutorial in PDF format, & the .pat file needed to create the style.
 
Thank you very much for putting this together and posting it. I was very impressed with what you did with that texture.

BTW, you may want to consider renaming your tutorial. "Alien Skin" is the name of a well-known developer of photographic software: http://www.alienskin.com/ . When I first saw the title of this thread, I assumed your tutorial was going to be an introduction to the use of their products.

Thx for the comment Tom. I wasn't aware of that company. But, Seeing as the image is meant to be the skin of an Alien, I'm not sure what to rename it. Disambiguation I think is the wiki term :)
 
Humm ... that is a bit of a dilemma, isn't it. ;-)

Maybe something like, "Tutorial: Alien monster skin". Ahh, what the heck, it really doesn't matter. People will figure it out immediately. Whatever u name it, u did a nice job.

Massive attractive and curious post. Honestly I love this kinds of numerous artistic job. Well done SPWA your Alien Skin Style Tutorial is looking plenty awesome!
