Probably quite a few forum members here have this trouble: looking through Photoshop books in a bookstore and finding that 95% or so of info in those books is directed toward beginners and intermediate users. I would appreciate suggestions from forum members about photoshop books written primerely for advanced users. Last book on the subject that tought me many new things about PS was Dan Margulis' "Professional Photoshop". It appears that for advenced users most useful sources of new Photoshop ideas come from art, graphic design, programming and photography sources.

Advanced PS User Books

I think you may find that the reason most PS books don't go past intermediate level, is that once you master the techniques to that point, you've reached a level of creativity where you no longer need the crutch of someone else's experiences. You go out and make your own path. That is why beginners are easy to spot, they're enthralled to create the same tentacles, filter effects and faded grid backgrounds that have been done countless times before. Advanced users break out of the molds and create quality works of depth and beauty using various inspirations.
You can only copy others' results and techniques to a point, and then you surpass those boundaries, at which point, the books that are relevant become more specific, and more technical than artistic.
Dan Margulis, Katrina Eismann, and Kai Krause's Channel Chops (a classic as relevant today as ever) are pretty much getting near the top of literary Photoshop. After that it's usually compilations of works artists are creating, but not as much how-to's...

Ms Oz your selection of books is excellent, besides that Photoshop Channel Chops was written by David Biedny, Bert Monroy and Nathan Moody...
It was a book for V4 but I can still recommend it too!
