Hi all

Just wondering about the option for 30 bit Display in Advanced Graphics Processor Settings, Should I enable this option, my monitor is a Dell P2210 and what exactly will this do?

Here's a screenshot of what I talking about, I have a GeForce GTX660 2GB Graphics Card

Thanks in Advance

30 bit display is for the more advanced graphics cards that can handle more power and tend to be towards the nvidia gtx and quadro range. Other cards may disable features such as windows aero themes as it is taking to much graphical power but shouldnt be an issue on a mac. However if your card supports it you will get a lot smoother actions and mouse control, tasks will complete quicker especially on large file sizes, Downside is if your graphics card does not support it then it will actually more likely freeze your system.

Basically to sum up what it is adobe cc in particular has taken the way ps handles your graphics card in older versions you would have seen a checkbox for advanced open GL well the new 30 bit display is a fine tuned version of that open gl has been upgraded.

Hi again Hoogle

My Graphics card is a GeForce GTX660 2GB Graphics Card GDDR5, so I can assume it's OK to enable it

PC spec is

Intel Icore7 3rd gen processor
16 GB of Ram
128GB SSD + 2 * 1TB internal hard drives, scratch disk 100GB
Plus the above graphics card

Thanks again for you help, love this site, people are sooo helpful
