I have Adobe Photoshop CS3, but when i press file save as the file extensions do not save. The image just saves as example.file. It saves as a .file instead of a .png for example. Also if it saves as a .jpeg when i press file save or save as it says ".jpeg already exists overwrite? when there is not .jpeg in the first place .

I fixed this problem before, by going to somewhere in the registry section. start>run>regedit>etc. But i cannot remember where the file was, i remember i had to delete the "default value", but cannot remember where it was.
Could somebody help please.
