Adjusting Video Speed and Duration

Hello All. I'm new to this forum and glad that I found it.

I have a simple question about editing video in Photoshop CS6.

I have made some adjustments to Video Speed and Duration on a clip in the video timeline.

Now I've decided I want to remove those changes and revert back to the original video speed and duration.

Is it possible to undo the changes I made?

Cheers for any help you might be able to offer.

Thank you MrTom. The problem is I already saved the changes and closed the file. Is there any other way to reverse the changes to the layer? Thank you.

No worries...

You should be able to set the 'Speed' back to 100%, and you should be able to find the duration of the original clip from within your OS....then set the duration in the timeline to match it.

That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Regards.
MrToM.

That is a great idea. Thank you. I hadn't thought of that.

I ended up just removing the video layer and then adding it again because I was stuck.

If I had seen your latest reply I could have done it the way you said by just setting the speed back to 100% and then looking at the clip itself to see what the actual time of the clip is and set the duration accordingly. Anyway, will use your method if I get stuck again.

The other issue was I had done some resizing edits on the clips too and wanted to avoid losing those edits. But with either method (yours or mine) I guess there is no way to avoid losing the trimming edits.

Thanks again for your great help though and quick responses.

I wish there was a way to sharpen video in Photoshop without first converting the clips to Smart Objects because once they are Smart Objects certain things can't be reversed.

Also, Photoshop renders video so slowly if you use Smart Objects so I was hoping to figure out a sharpening workaround, but I know there isn't one since sharpening always requires filters and filters can't be applied to video clips without converting them to Smart Objects first.

Cheers...
