Hello,
I'd like to know if it's possible to create an Action that:
- save my current image as PNG in that image folder
- maintain the same name
- replace/overwrite the existing image

Please note that I want to make a keyboard shortcut to this action to use it manually.
I don't want to make a batch to process many images.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, of course it's possible to do what you want, although I would strongly disagree with your request to have the action delete / overwrite the original file. It's much safer to do that at the end (say, from the OS), after you have confirmed that the action has behaved as expected.

Attached is an ATN file that has such an action.

Load it, test it by manually invoking it, and then try invoking it using shift-control-F12.

Maybe I expressed my idea badly.
Usually I work on a .psd file to create the icon/image I want. Then I need to save it to png (to import in my Android project and see how it does really look on the phone screen). Most of the time I need to edit my .psd file more and repeat this process quite many times.
So I don't want to automatically delete the original .psd file of course, I would just like to replace the previous png version with the new one I am going to test.

I tried your attached action file but I found two problems:
1) it adds "copy" to the image name
2) it still asks for if I want to replace the image and the interlace/compression options.
Would it be possible to skip those steps?

Also, in general, how to create a Save actions on the current location of the image? I was only able to do it on a specific folder.

Thanks again!
