A taste of my new design.

For those of you wondering the news block that is bigger represents the hover effect that the news posts will have. More updates coming soon...

I don't have a comment on the design but...I wonder...grammatically, should that be "living life freely"?

I am not a grammarian but somehow "living life free" doesn't sound right to my ear.

Donate Page 1 - For the donate page the 3 different fields will slide back and forth. Ex. Once you click Next the First box will slide out and disappear into the content frame to the right while the Next box slides in it's place

Reply on the design in post 5.

I do like the grid of the design, but the design itself can be perfected. Overall it feels like the blending options are overused. Borders, shadows, gradients; all of them can be used, but more sparingly and above all subtile.

All the buttons have rounded corners, so the Donate button should be no exception.

The vertical 2px line between the menu items would look better if it would be replaced with a light and dark 1px line.

Compared to the logo the text size of the menu is too big.

What is the you-are-here indicator for if a submenu page is visited? Might be helpful to include a breadcrumb. The sub menu looks like it has a complete different style then the rest of the design. No gradients, different type border, no inset shadow.

I don't think the blue/green colour scheme, added with the glares over buttons, suits the style a church kind of website would have. Not looking at the logo I first thought the website was designed for a webhost company.

The breadcrum is added on the content pages, I don't put it on the home page layout. I agree there still can be some more tweaking done to it. I still have some work to do to it before it goes into development. The colors I was unaware that they were set in stone when I started on this project. The only thing I can do with the colors is just swap them around. This is actually for an nun organization that has no affiliation with a church. Thanks for the tips tho. Not to sure about the webhost company thing... lol

notreally my place to say I think the design is good and clean but back to the "living life free" I have knowledge in retail/marketing psychology where you have this statement of living life free but the next word along as most cultures read from left to righ is a nice highlited button in green saying donate I know the majority of people wont pick up on the point I am making but to some people who are particularly cautios with their money the first thing they see on your site is contradiction so I would personally retitle it to living life freely as that suggest to the consumer they have the choice to donate or not. Just a thought not citicising
