A Piece Of The Sea

Cool!!! i like it. The only think it's a little bit strange for me is the difference in the light in the three layers, at least give me that impression.

Cheers!

Hmmmmm....I see you are going through your 'Desert' period.

One small point about the lighting....the surface of the 'sea' suggests the light source is top left, whilst the rays and shadows suggest the source is top right.

You may be able to rotate the 'sea' 180° so the brighter corner is on the right, its a fairly random pattern so you may get away with it....may.

If not then the rays and shadows should really compliment the sea and radiate from top left.

Adding the Island is a nice touch....it works well in 'framing' the image.

MrToM.

...and of course we all know what's missing here.

Thanks MrTom.
I did not realize the wrong lighting on the sea surface.
I'll fix that tomorrow.
Now its beer time.
:beerchug:

I think its a bit too hot for your birds...

Have a cold one for me....CHEERS!

The second image looks great to me Eggy!
I love the surrealistic touch in your creation.
Looking forward to see the new version with the lighting adjustment.

Thanks Chris.

Actually it started as a 3D project.
I made the surface choosing my texture, the 'walls' with reduced opacity and the ocean floor a little bigger.
Then I hit the render button.
:banghead:
After a minute or so 'it' said to me '45 min to render'.

I stopped the rendering and since I had my shapes I continued in PS...

The route is the goal.
Your outcome proves that you have taken the right way.
Your image is now completed, it looks really cool!
