Needed to do an assignment that would express 5 things I love. It's basketball, girls and music, skyscrapers and Ford Mustangs!!! :D

Kinda simple.. But couldn't figure out what type of text to add..

What do you mean by "type of text" ? Is it the font or just a small sentence or words saying something, and added to the image?

If it's only words, then you might get away like "surrounded by the world" or something like that. As it is an assignment for "you", I was thinking to make it look bigger and not using words like "my world" or "me". Just to give it a feel that everyone recognize themselfs in the image but it would still be your presentation about you.

Just my thoughts....

Personally I think the more subtle the better.

I'd suggest looking up tuts on burning or branding text into a texture/surface. I've done one on branding by Deke McClelland but it was on lynda.com, subscription site. OTOH, Deke has his own website and that might even be on it. Not only that, a lot of times people learn these techniques (from someone like him), put a personal twist to it, and publish as their tutorial. Bit slippery but puts it out there.

Whatever you decide to do I think it should be faded and subtle with maybe 1 bold word in it or something but all depends on the wording.
