3 kids on chairs

Very nice mate, the only real issue is the same old problem most shoppers have and that is of differing photo image qualities.

Thanks Paul,
I know what you mean. Unfortunately because the working photos cannot be re-shot, the only thing to do is improve the image that is the lowest quality as much as possible and then lower the quality of the others to match. Lowest common denominator if you will.

good job on the compositing.
but the lighting isnt right.
there is no direct sunlight coming from behind them so there shouldnt be any shadow.
plus they seem to be lit from the front but no shadows are going behind them
here is an example of what i mean (see the foot stool away from direct sunlight has no shadows)

Thanks for the constructive comments. I had a look at the sample and the only difference is that it has only one light source and in mine I was simulating 2. Notice the working image top left has a shadow from the chair front and back and also a very distinct shadow around the head, on the pillow, caused by a flash.

All that being said, you're right the lighting isn't quite right but when combining 3 photos with varying light sources and colouring, some sacrifices have to be made.

I really do appreciate the feedback. All the best.

then i would soften the shadows (make them less visible)
they also distract from the subjects (the children) when i first looked at the image my eye look at the shadows first (might be just me)

and that light on the left is coming from the door but infront of them.
you can see that by the shadow in the left corner of the door frame

I agree with the lighting comments.

Just a thought.... why not try darkening the individual kids to a uniform darker shade then experment with Render Lighting (In MENU>FILTER>RENDER>LIGHTING EFFECTS)

I think that must be part of photoshop extended. I tried extended in cs3 but wasn't using the extra features enough to justify the additional cost. I'm using regular cs5 but I appreciate the advice
