2D scrolling background?

Hi everybody. I really need some special images for a 2D scrolling game background.
I will try to explain: if you put the image 2 times side by side, it should be giving the feeling that it's the same image.
Something like this : ludumdare.com/compo/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/new_cave_bg.jpg , but with the end of the image edited so it can be combined with the beginning.

IF I'm not wrong you want to create a seamless background ? if yes then THIS same technique applies for what you want...
