Hey Guys and Girls

Two questions

1-- Is there any tool in photoshop that allows you to tell what a certain font may be in a picture?

2-- Is there anyway to take a picture cut it into your own image and then some how remove the text to enter your own? Like if there was a baseball card with a players name and you just wanted to erase his name and put yours? Cause when i color of it the color does not match the rest of the image cause it is using like multi colors as background

If it's already rasterized, no, if it's still a type layer, then just look at the characters palette.

Yes, but it depends on the image and it takes lots of practice and experience to do it right.
 
there is no 'tool' per se that will identify a font. I'd love to invent one, I'd probabby get rich :bustagut:

As to the second part of your question, depending on the background, copy and paste could work and the clone tool. However, as Mindbender mentioned, using the clone tool effectively would require some skill. Why don't you post the image and let us evaluate the best way to accomplish what you require ?
