the apple 1 was an advert I saw and just wanted to recreate it and the 2nd 1 was just me having a play around.

very aesthetically pleasing. Especially the first one, feels good on the eyes.

Am I right in thinking the "iPSG" in the Apple is a reflection? if so I think maybe some kind of adjustment to show that the apple has a shiny surface would make it more clear?

You are right and I would have agreed with you 2 hours ago lol. I was looking at the advert thinking yeah it needs more of a texture but if you added light to reveal the metalic texture it ruined the whole effect. I tried making metal, Plastice, Glass and even wood however you were taking away the fact that all your suppose to see is what is suppose to represent neon lights. There is very subtle things in there to show it is not see through if you look at the glow on the floor it does not go through the middle of the neon lights where as if there was no texture in the middle it would.

So what set out as me trying to improve an apple advert ( 1 day it could happen) however there is a reason they spend millions on marketing and advertising.

hmm I see your point, it's a tricky one. I guess you've also tried to make the reflection sharper? I dunno it's really good, I could stare at it for hours cuz the neon colors are like eye massages.

glow on the floor makes sense, it all does. reflection is the only thing, if you look at it for a while it could be introverted, outroverted or reflected.

It certainly is possible but I guess if it was sharp it would be distracting and that is where you would focus on I may do another version later on to see how it looks. But for now I must sleep or Santa won't come good night merry Christmas.
