I was working on this a few weeks ago when my laptop packed up, luckily I recovered a lot of data. But the life of me I forgot how I achieved this.

Not that expect anyone to tell me how I did it, but could show me their and probably better way to do it, I would be grateful, It started life as a normal action shot from a game.

I hope that this will be turned into an image to have printed on tee shirts.

I don't know how you did it, but would do it that way (very probobly not the best):

1. open picture which needed to make with that effect.
2. select man.
3. save selection.
4. change color mode to greyscale.
5. adjust contrast so it almost black/white (bitmap).
6. change color mode to bitmap.
7. change color mode greyscale.
8. CTRL+click on grey color chanell in chanells panel.
9. invert selection.
10. save selection.
11. change color mode to rgb.
12. clear all. image is white or if you want it transparent then make new layer and delete background layer.
13. make selection using last saved selection.
14. make new fill layer/solid color with that dark green.
15. make selection using first saved selection.
16. make new fill layer/solid color with greenish yellow.
17. put that layer under "green" and left blending mode - normal. Or put at top of "green" then change blending mode to multiply.

Done. Now add details and special need like add text with dark green color etc.

There are many ways to do things in PS, another:

Cut out the person, put it on it's own layer. Image-Adjustments-Threshold, adjust it as necessary.
With the magic wand select the black, fill with the color you want, deselect.
Now select the white and fill it with color.

thanks a lot, now after seeing the ways described, I the second seems familar, I will copy and paste them to my growing file.

thanks guys very much appreciated

Norwich fan eh! Havn't seen many "Known" footy (Sorry American friends... Soccer ) fans on here

Or at the last change to the white cells, instead of re touching with the magic wand just click SELECT - INVERSE, while the marching ants are marching and choose the new colour and click/fill away.

Not if you cut it out first my friend, just like hawkeye requested, and making it it's own layer:wink:

See:):) my friend:confused:

Yea for my sins, have been more or less a regular since about 1961/62 at the moment it is good to be a city supporter, with the premier league to come in a few weeks, not that I expect too much Just hoping we can do enough to get a second bite at it.

BTW I redid the image used in the start post, got it smoother and sharper, sent it off and should be getting some tee shirts back soon

Yeah first season just have to consolidate - Exciting times ahead for you hopefully, Delia will be pleased :) - I'm an Everton fan - James Vaughan will be a good signing for you if you can keep him injury free

Good luck for next season and hopefully I'll be seeing a few of your t-shirts at Goodison park on December 17th !

you never know, if I can sell a few. just keep an eye out for Wes Hoolahan. if he is in the mood he will be magical

I have learned a important things in this thread. Thanks all of you for sharing. I will try this very soon.
