Got most of the basic graphics down and need some advice/critiquing/review. I intend on adding things like donation boxes, youtube emblem link, recent members, posts, news, ect but for now the basics are the only thing there. I don't have a domain name yet so I can only post pictures of it being previewed:

Any advice is needed, considering it's my first website.

the title and hammer graphic look a little plain.. instead of just a white outline, perhaps add a fill color and some texture perhaps.

I would love some more tips on how to improve the website and make it more professional. 1st so it kinda looks empty as well.

Hi acoustic,
I am a freelance web designer and i think you definitely need an outline around the main part (in the middle) and also one minute the navigation bar is at the bottom and then at the top i think for usability i would advise it always being along the top.

Also as rob mentioned the title and hammer look a little plain and you have a lot of room up there so a nice affect that would fill the space would be a mirror effect but there are numerous others.

hope this helps from raz

Looks very bland and not very inviting.

You need to plan your layout first and figure out where your panels are going. The background is too blank. A subtle gradient and texture will improve this. Use a better font for this also, may I suggest myriad pro. Adding a donation box will not improve this tbh.

The header and nav bar needs alot more attention and maybe use an indented line to seperate your panels.

If you need any further help just ask.

I've messed around with lots of textures but can't really find any that go well with the website, any suggestions?

Myriad pro for the font? How should I redo the nav bar?

When filling in the content boxes, should I add other boxes in there or what? I want this website to look very professional.

No 'pop' to it mate, it is supposed to be a gaming site, so make it more 'gaming'.
