Altering skin tones and clarity for old portrait paintings
Hello! Could you, please, have a look and tell me what did they do to the original picture so they obtained a cleaner version? (I numbered the pictures attached: 1 original from Wikipedia, 2 retouched version by someone). My untrained eye saw this: - the retouched version got rid of the shadows...- Ovi Sergiu

My gf and i took this photo, i like it a lot but the lighting is awful! I have no experience and any and all help to make the photo more sharp/clear, and not so grainy looking would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!- alejandro3
