Tip: what helps you work easier and faster without block

If I'm doing something that requires heavy brain cell usage I play music that has no lyrics. Probably something from the Windham Hill artists. If I'm just crunching away and it doesn't require much thought then lyrics in the music is fine. Possibly dust off an old Van der Graaf Generator...

Thanks for sharing the story. She certainly is a winner. I wish the media would print stories about people like her for all to read and be inspired. Rich

    Another glassy/plastic orb...

Mark, Since I don't have a glass sphere, I whipped this up in Cinema to validate your observations. I cranked the refraction up to 4 and DOH! You're right! I can just slightly make out the "spherical" effect but then I suspect that the refraction for a shere might be realistically higher...

    PSG CHAT ROOM POLL.......

I'm not much of a chatter but I do occasionly find myself exchanging IM's through MSN, Yahoo, etc. I have mixed feelings about it because I know that on several occasions I had wished that we had a chat room but since I frequently read posts during working hours, it wouldn't be appropriate for...

    Tv Scanl Line without pattern

Guys, I hate to ask a silly question, but where do I put that Grid filter or any other filter for that matter? I put it in the filters directory but it didn't seem to take. But then again I'm not really sure where to look for it even it did show up. Will it be in there along with the other...

    Favorite filter

Well said Oz. Mr. Gauss was quite the dude. He was also prominent in the field of Electromagnetics. So much so that the strength of such fields are measured in Gauss units. I remember from my calc. classes that he had quite a fascination with prime numbers as well. (I never said he was an...

    Blue Screen

I'm guessing that your blue screen has slight variations of blue and the magic wand is only picking one them. Try Select>Similar and see if it picks up the rest of it. Keep in mind that if your photograph has a similar blue in I believe it will also then be selected. You'll then have to...

    Open multiple files as layers?

I don't have a clue how to do what your asking (sounds like sfm has a handle on it) but I can't help wondering WHY you need to do that. Are the .ps files tool paths for wire EDM machines and you are keeping the profiles for reference?

This is a good example of why I have no business going to PS 7.0. I still have so much in PS 6 that I don't even know about. Thanks Eric this is a great tip! I've done the zoom in - zoom out thing and now I'm sick because I didn't need to. Rich
