Hi, I need to place an image underneath skin and I was wondering how to do this effectively rather than just placing the image above the picture and blending the layers. The image is off a cartoon eye that will glow different colours and I am trying to blend it into an open palm. Kind of a mix between David Blaines eye tattoo, and the clocks from the film In Time (I cant post links yet so please search)
Much appreciated thank you :)

why don't you post your images to imgur.com so we could get better idea about what you're trying to achieve ?

I dont want to post the actualy image isf you dont mind because its for a college project so I cant really have help using the acutal images. But what I want is the 2d image to appear underneath the skin, like the skins raised but you cant see it itself, and also perhaps the glow visible through the skin.

Something under the skin would not show anyways... I'll have just a little bump on the skin.. so why dont you select the area (under the skin image) and give it a little Bevel n Emboss to make it look that somethign is underneath..

Yeah thats the kind of thing im going for but I still want to be able to see the whole of the eye quite cleary. I've just found a real life image thats kinda what im looking for, the one on the right (ew) but on the palm.

I have checked images on :google: for 3dimplants and most of them are easy to do.here's a quickie... hand-top.jpg hand-top_3dimplant.jpgIt has a lot of flaws but gives you a general idea how this is achieved. PSD is attached. I have merged the background layer along with the star layer and used the Smudge tool at 30% to blend the skin tone to the edges. The result is in the 'Final Hand' layerI hope this gives you a path to follow. Do share your works once you achieve this
