Transparent Text with Drop Shadow

I was making a Photoshop themed signature and wanted transparent text with a drop shadow and figured it out!
So then I made a quick tutorial on how to do it.

Might have to turn up your speakers, my apologies!

Oh it's an alright tutorial, and god i love american voices !

But there's actually a simpler way to do this, sorry for interrupting you and all x)

Make a new text layer and give the text a drop shadow in the blending options as usual. Then at the spot where you can turn the opacity down, turn the "fill" down instead to 0%, and suddenly it does the exact same trick as you showed in your tutorial
With this trick, you can still edit the text without having to start over!

Nice! That's what I love about Photoshop, there are many ways to do the same thing
