How to change color?

Hello, Can some one help me with this picture? Id like to change it to white but my method doesn't work with this picture...

Id like it white but the way do it didn't work for this pic. I outline the area i want colored, go to layers, New adjustment layers, and then Hue/Saturation but when i tried it it came out way to white...

You need to isolate just the cars colour not the whole car.

I remove the area's not needing the color last using the erase tool.

I would isolate the car colour layer first then play around with colour settings, erasure WTF that

Never erase! Always mask!

Duplicate your image.
Highlight your duplicated and turn off the original.
On the duplicate, go to IMAGE > APPLY IMAGE and use the settings below


It will look like this...



Isolate the truck and apply a layer mask.
