Hello, just a few examples of my photoshop chopz. I cut them all down so they wouldn't clog the forum, but if you would prefer I upload them from an outside source then hyperlink them in from another URL, I am happy to do that as well.

The Essentials...
These are some of my latest edits. All models, representative stock usage and permissions have been attained/Or the photos were taken by myself or paid for from my own stock images. These final edits are mine, and all rights belong to me. They cannot be used commercially, or be used on any other side than PhotoshopGurus unless post by me. Sorry to be a drag before we even get started!

ANYWAY! THE FUN STUFFZ!!!!

These were created either from manipulated stock, digital cropping/cutting/blending OR had additional airbrushing on top of it. Digital Painting takes a long time, but really pays off if you are looking for that super glossy photo-real image the pros use for movie posters etc...

I will be covering how I did these images in tutorials over the next few weeks, and shall be including the original .PSD files for those interested in downloading them to see the techniques I used. I will also be looking forward to seeing what you guys create, practice and experiment with after I upload the resources!

I have hundreds, but I think that covers everything from super over-worked photoshopping, to basic colour blending and the subtle, more real photo work.

Looking forward to bringing you more soon. Thanks for checking out my work! And thanks for having me on the forum.

She is awesome! She usually does Pin-up photography, so it was a real gem to find her rocking out like that! In such a good perspective to work with as well.

Thanks for checking out my stuffz and taking time to comment!

nice work Db1machine!

the only thing i would say and it's a small factual gripe is the muzzle flash on the MP5 is slightly too big when outdoors the muzzle flash tends to be minimal and the only visible indication of it being fired is a puff of smoke from the barrel.
"hollywood blanks" give the large flash effect you see in movies and games.

however in this case it really doesn't matter it looks cool and that's all that friggen matters! ;) i think if it was "realistic" it wouldn't look as good.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. Don't worry about the dry intro regarding copyrights and stock images, etc. We appreciate that and strive to maintain those same ethics. I repeat "strive," lol.

Anyway, I look forward to your tutorials and I hope people will jump in and make their own versions. You may want to make the title read as an invitation, even a challenge. I'd love to see our members get involved in challenges again.

Welcome to the forum.

Third edit! (Missed out the doves... it will make sense later!)

The inspiration was "80s Action Poster" so thats exactly what I was going for. I am also pretty sure that the car (A Dodge Challenger) was going to be hers, before I decided it needed blowing up! I have no idea why she would be blowing up her own car... or who is shooting at her. Only thing on my mind was...

Sexy chick... YES!
Explosion... YES!
Cool car... YES!
Wait a second... blow UP the cool car... YEEEESS!!!
Incoming rounds... YEAAAAH BABY!
Doves flying around to make it look badass and poetic... OOOORAAAAAH!!!!

Oh, and its an MP5K. Also, if you don't clean your weapon for a few hundred rounds the cordite builds up in the gas block and kicks out a thin dust that ignites. Although blank rounds do ignite brighter than live, live rounds only fire clean with a flash eliminator and if the barrel has been maintained. However none of that was on my mind when I made a HOT CHICK WITH MASSIVE SPLOSIONS!!! I also forgot to include ejected rounds. >.< Baaaah! Dang it!

lol, I tend to leave my realistic accuracy at the door when doing photo-manipulations. Unless I am editing my own photography from my time in other countries.

Who wants photo realism? Isn't that the point? Manipulate reality!

fair enough, from firing a few rifles and seeing them be fired they never had a substantial muzzle flash, but like you said, the rifles i fired and saw fired were on a range, so their barrels are probably well maintained.

i know it's an MP5k i just thought MP5 would do that's all :P

maybe the girl was blowing up her car to distract said unknown enemy? so she could whoop their asses before they knew what hit them. just an idea :P

What regiment are/were you?

I'm in the ATC now not old enough for active service yet, but i hope to go into the RAF as a pilot, or weapons systems operator.

and is that UBACs you are wearing? seems like there's a lot of padding on the arms to be ye old soldier 95 shirt.

sorry asking noobish questions ;)

Yes mate its the old Desert95 UBAC. This was the Herrick 11 tour from 2009-2010, it was the last tour of duty in British Deserts, before we made the switch to Multicam. I was with the Vikings mate, 1 Royal Anglian, but I left in December last year and now live and work in the US.

I enjoyed my time, but I am happy to be out and a civvy now. Both sides of life are really enjoyable but I am done now.

Pic 24.jpg Thats a better picture of the kit we wore before the changeover to Multicam.

I had always digitally edited and played around with photoshop for my bands websites and stuff, but the photography really started for me while I was away in other places. I'll have to upload some for you.

I do have a deviantart page with a military section in the gallery. I believe I have done my 8 posts and can send you over. Feel free to check out some of my older edits and photography.

Enjoy! And good luck with joining the RAF! I have family in all three services, including the Marines so if you need any advice feel free to pm me.

Thanks everyone for making so welcome by the way. Really appreciate it!
