Don't follow this tutorial.
It teaches things in a wrong way.
There's a better, more elegant and simpler way of achieving this effect.

Ivan....in photoshop there is no such thing as "the wrong way"....there's opinion & different ways of execution. There are always several ways to achieve the same look, doesn't mean a particular one is inaccurate. And although you may be right, drop shadow/highlight shadow may be more efficient/easier....if you have such a problem with my method, perhaps you'd like to make your own tutorial and not navigate people away from mine???
